Case Study: Burnett Shire Council
Consultation for the Burnett Shire Community Plan

This consultation involved a number of different methods:
- a printed survey form
- a primary school essay competition: ‘Why do you like living here and what would make it even better’
- youth gatherings at two skate parks: ‘Sizzle at the Bowl’
- three community forums to cover the more rural areas of the shire
- meetings with community groups of seniors
- special meetings with the Chamber of Commerce and agricultural groups

meeting with Indigenous group through their elders meeting.
