Case Study: Burnett Shire Council

This consultation involved a number of different methods:

• a printed survey form
• a primary school essay competition: ‘Why do you like living here and what would make it even better’
• youth gatherings at two skate parks: ‘Sizzle at the Bowl’
• three community forums to cover the more rural areas of the shire
• meetings with community groups of seniors
• special meetings with the Chamber of Commerce and agricultural groups
• meeting with Indigenous group through their elders meeting.
