Animating Spaces

Animating Spaces 2015 – Compile from Artslink Queensland on Vimeo.

Animating Spaces is an innovative, three-year state-wide multi-arts project that  set out to revitalise and celebrate significant or unusual spaces within fifteen regional communities through locally-driven arts activities and events. Participating communities were given the opportunity to re-imagining their built or natural environment, employ local artists and creatives, build capacity, develop cultural project management skills, receive mentoring and support and funding assistance to present three arts projects.

Five towns took up the challenge in 2015: Townsville, Ravenswood, Mackay, Logan and Ipswich.  Projects began in December 2014 with a concept development webinar, followed by a two day training intensive in February with events taking place between August and October 2015.
