About

Artslink Queensland is the state's peak regional arts organisation.

We support the artistic and cultural aspirations of regional communities.

Support Us

We envision a future where all Queenslanders have access to the arts to enhance their community’s sense of unity, strength and well-being.

Artslink Queensland is a non-profit organisation delivering capacity-building services, visual and performing arts experiences to children and communities throughout Queensland, many of whom would otherwise be deprived of such opportunities.

Why the Arts?
Evidence suggests that access to and participation in the arts yields significant personal benefits including skills development, broadening of social networks and a resulting increase in confidence.

The benefits to communities are simple: the arts bring people together. In fact, participation in arts-related activities has been shown to strengthen people’s commitment to places and their engagement in tackling problems.

What sets us apart?

  • developing services dedicated to and informed by regional Queensland communities
  • providing educational performances for young people in schools across Queensland regardless of their pupil numbers and geographical remoteness
  • developing community-initiated art works, touring them and in doing so enabling communities separated by distance to share and connect in each others’ experiences
  • providing a network and facilitating a state-wide dialogue on the arts in regional communities
  • offering practical, hands-on support that empowers communities to organise their own arts events

Please help us to bring the benefits of the arts to all Queenslanders.

'[The children] think they live in a very big place because in remote areas they see only big, wide, open spaces. They are, infact, in a very small space and Queensland Arts Council helps to take them to new places through a wide range of performances.'
