An exhibition developed in partnership with Christopher Trotter

Sculptor, humourist and ‘re-animator’ of all things metal, Christopher Trotter has been creating iconic public artworks for Queensland communities since 1994.

Trotter reshapes discarded machine-parts into biomechanical sculptures. He creates organic forms infused with energy, history, humour and personality. The works are lovingly detailed with industrial objects from the shelves of his studio in Boonah, just outside of Brisbane.

This exhibition reveals his transformative artistic process with a collection of intricate drawings, large-format digital photographs of the more monumental works, and a set of charming small sculptures.
